Silver Lake Cottage, an elegant waterfront Colonial Revival used as a grand summer home in the early 1900s, offers guests tranquil vistas of the spring-fed lake from its massive stone terrace, winding paths, shady nooks and sunny porches. At any time of year, Silver Lake is breathtaking: shining in winter's icy purity, blazing with autumn's reflected colors, rippling slightly in summer breezes, and surrounding itself with spring's new green growth. Silver Lake Cottage has been carefully restored so it again captures the serenity and charm of the past - and becomes an island of peace for our guests. We welcome you and hope you'll enjoy the heirloom-filled public rooms; relax with a book in a cozy corner; chat with us in the living room; breakfast with guests in the dining room, on the terrace, or privately at a table in the sun porch; and stroll the gardens, originally designed by Olmstead Brothers and lovingly tended throughout the last century. We've furnished, decorated, and named our five guest rooms to give each a uniquely individual character, which reflect fond memories of our own travels. All of the guest rooms are located on the second floor and were carefully designed for your comfort. All have a private bath, individually controlled air conditioning, and beautiful views. Also on the second floor, a library provides additional quiet space for guests to relax or meet. Please go to ROOMS & RATES to view the guest rooms. A full complimentary breakfast is served, which includes a healthy entree, seasonal fresh fruits and juices, freshly baked items, and coffee or tea.
